Dr. Nermeen Hamza

Dr. Hamza received her Bachelor Of Science in biological sciences from University of Alberta in 1999 and earned her Doctorate in Optometry from New England College of Optometry in Boston in 2003. After graduating, she completed an additional residency in family practice optometry with focus on ocular disease and community health. She continued on at the college as a clinical educator of interns and residents for several years in addition to working in a private practice in the Boston area.

Dr. Hamza and her family moved to the Seattle area and she joined Bellevue Vision Clinic in July of 2010. In June 2013, she became a 50/50 partner of Bellevue Vision Clinic with Dr. Clayton.

In addition to primary eye care, Dr. Hamza has a strong background in ocular disease, with a special interest in dry eye disease, myopia management/Ortho-K, as well as scleral, custom/specialty contact lenses. Dr. Hamza is a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.

In her down time, Dr. Hamza enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband, their 2 young sons, extended family in Canada, and adorable labradoodle, Taz
